Delivery, returns
and support
How is Picnic delivery?
Most app reviewers report punctual, friendly delivery with timely updates and live runner tracking. Some report orders that never arrived or arrived incomplete, with a driver saying nobody was home. Others report cancellations because of snow, one late notice of unavailable items about four hours before delivery, and a missing item delivered a day and a half late. One App Store reviewer says the tracking has been inaccurate for months. Several people also say Picnic does not deliver to their village.
How do Picnic returns work?
The reviews say little about returns. One Google Maps reviewer says a cancelled order was refunded only for non-perishable items. A Trustpilot reviewer says Picnic takes back deposit bottles, batteries and return parcels. Another Trustpilot reviewer reports replacements and compensation with no discussion. The data does not describe a formal return policy.
How is Picnic customer support?
Opinion is split. Several App Store reviewers describe fast, friendly support and problems solved without fuss. Google Play and Trustpilot reviewers describe support that blamed them for a missed delivery, and one App Store reviewer says there is no customer service. On Google Play the brand often points unhappy customers to service@picnic.nl.
How is Picnic quality?
Customers often call the groceries fresh and of good quality, and many praise the choice. The main complaints are short best-before dates (three to seven days in several reports), overripe fruit and occasional poor fresh products. One App Store reviewer reports dark material found in bread. Trustpilot has only 10 reviews, so its quality signals are thin.
What customers say
about Picnic
Multiple people were home during the delivery window, nobody rang the bell, the groceries were never handed over, and the order never entered our possession.
Questions about
Picnic
Is Picnic legit?
Customers report that Picnic is a real, working grocery delivery service with very large rating volumes (58,891 on the App Store and 113,485 on Google Play). Most users are satisfied. A minority report undelivered or incomplete orders and difficult support. Trustpilot has only 10 reviews, and the Google Maps listing is for Picnic HQ rather than the shop, so those scores are less reliable.
How long does Picnic delivery take?
The reviews do not give exact delivery times. Customers report on-time delivery, many delivery slots and quick short-notice delivery, with a live tracker in the app. Some report late notice of missing items, cancellations in bad weather and missed deliveries.
Does Picnic charge for delivery?
Picnic advertises free delivery, but customers report a minimum order of €45 and €65 or more for some slots. One reviewer says delivery costs are effectively built into the Family subscription (€7.99 per month, or €5.95 per month for a year). Check current terms in the app.
Does Picnic reply to bad reviews?
Yes, mostly on Google Play, where about 95% of reviews get a reply, usually an apology and an invitation to email service@picnic.nl. Google Maps replies are less frequent at 20%. No replies appear on Trustpilot.
Is Picnic worth the price?
Opinion is mixed. Some customers say prices are fair, with good deals and free delivery, while others say certain products are expensive. Many recent reviews say higher minimum orders and the Family subscription make it worse value for small households. Several customers say they switched to Jumbo, Dirk or shopping in Belgium.
